Kenia Sada

Director

My name is Kenia Sada and I am proud to be part of this beautiful community, KLA Schools of Palmetto Bay. As a school, we are committed to providing a place where children feel respected for their individual qualities. One of my main goals as a Director has always been to create a place where families, children, and staff feel a sense of belonging and harmony, and where a passion for learning and thinking is cultivated by all.

I’ve been in the field of Early Childhood for about 15 years. As a teacher, as an adviser in a Quality Rating Scale program in Miami Dade County for Early Childhood programs, and as the Director of KLA Schools of North Bay Village. Today I am happy to bring my experience and passion to KLA Schools of Palmetto Bay.

On behalf of myself, and our loving staff we welcome you!

Elizabeth Fernandez

Elizabeth Fernandez

Assistant Director

My name is Elizabeth Fernandez, I was born and raised in Miami. My mother was an elementary school teacher and my father was a Miami Beach lifeguard. I loved growing up in such a diverse city and have a passion for the outdoors. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from FIU. After I earned my degree, I worked as a concierge on Miami Beach for 5 years. I loved meeting new people and helping them have the best experience in our city. Once I became a mother my priorities changed, and I chose to stay home. I have two beautiful girls. I have always loved children, but really enjoyed spending my time with them. Going back to work I knew I wanted to use my knowledge to enhance the experience of other children. I am so lucky to be able to work at KLA Palmetto Bay and enrich the lives of the children here. They enrich my life just as much.

Yudith Moreno

Yudith Moreno

Pedagogical Coordinator

My name is Yudith Moreno, I was born in Havana Cuba and moved to Miami, Florida when I was eight years old. Growing up in Miami invoked a love for nature, especially the ocean and water, in addition to finding inspiration and a love for different cultures. I have an associate degree in education with a background in art appreciation and recently went back to school for a bachelor’s in Health and Wellness. I have been working with children from infants - 12 years old for 14 years. My journey with KLA began 11 years ago when I helped found KLA school of Doral and fell in love with the Reggio Emilia philosophy, where children are protagonists. My experience took place with all the different age groups from Nido’s – the fours and VPK. I later became Atelierista for approximately two years and currently, this is my third year with KLA School of Palmetto Bay as the Pedagogical Coordinator. Throughout my career working with children I have been able to partake in different conferences and abroad opportunities about the Reggio Emilia approach. Visiting the founding schools in the city Reggio Emilia, Italy was one of the most inspiring recollections that I have experienced, and I am lucky to share and live this educational approach alongside the children and families of KLA Palmetto Bay.
